Does a collarbone Tattoo hurt?

Are you considering getting a collarbone tattoo? A collarbone tattoo requires a certain level of pain tolerance since it sits just on top of the clavicle, the bone that connects the sternum (breastbone), and the scapula (shoulder bone).

Getting a tattoo on any part of your body is going to be painful, as you are already aware. The collarbone, however, is one of the most challenging areas for tattoos. Due to a lack of fatty tissue, the collarbone is highly sensitive. Additionally, the bone itself is right under the skin, which also contributes to the pain.

There have been some reports that getting a collarbone tattoo will almost feel like getting a neck tattoo as well because of the vibrations caused by the needle.

Having your clavicle inked won’t hurt nearly as much after getting it inked, so it could be a boon for first-time tattooers. The fleshier area underneath the bone is much less painful than the bone itself. Nevertheless, it will sting.

Tattoo designs may be subtle, sultry, edgy, or elegant depending on where they are placed. You should know a few things about collarbone tattoos whether you are getting your first tattoo or are an experienced inker.

Putting words, quotes, or lyrics around the collar bone is also a good idea. Many people choose to have the words align so that they perfectly fit along the collarbone, resulting in a really cool tattoo. The collar bone tattoos look just as great above or below the bone as they do directly on it.

Classy women’s collar bone tattoos are subjectively deemed to meet certain criteria. Even the most highfalutin of eyes will find styles that are more aesthetically pleasing. Tattoo artists specializing in black and gray styles, and/or tattooists with a taste for clean minimalist lines are ideal.

Clavicle – Collarbone

The clavicle, also known as the collarbone, is the curved anterior bone of the shoulder (pectoral) girdle in vertebrates. It functions as a support for the shoulder.

The clavicle is present in mammals with prehensile forelimbs and in bats, but absent in sea mammals and in those adapted to running. Under the pectoral fin of some fish, a crescent-shaped clavicle is present under the wishbone, or furcula, of birds. Human clavicles are horizontal, S-shaped rods that articulate medially with the breastbone (sternum) and laterally with the acromion, which forms the shoulder joint. It is held in place by strong ligaments at either end; the shaft attaches to muscles of the shoulder girdle and neck.
